Job Title: Director of Grassroots Advocacy & Events

Location: This position requires residence in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The Director of Communications will be fully remote on a daily basis. Candidates must be local and available for in-person meetings and events.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Competitive benefits are provided, including: 401(k) plan, comprehensive health benefits, and generous paid time off and sick leave policies.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and politically savvy Director of Grassroots Advocacy & Events to support firm and client advocacy campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and high-profile policy events. This role will lead the planning and execution of grassroots and grasstops outreach efforts while managing events that advance client policy objectives.


The ideal candidate has experience in the U.S. Government and/or industry performing the above duties and is comfortable operating in fast-paced political and policy environments.


Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage grasstops stakeholder outreach efforts in targeted states and congressional districts.  

  • Plan and manage logistics and execution for in-district Member of Congress events, Capitol Hill events, fly-ins, receptions, roundtables,, and conferences

  • Support digital advocacy initiatives including email campaigns, action alerts, and constituent mobilization

  • Draft event materials, talking points, invitations, briefing memos, and stakeholder communications

  • Coordinate with internal public affairs, government relations, and communications teams to ensure integrated campaign execution

  • Maintain relationships with vendors, venues, and event partners

  • Support client management and provide regular status updates on campaign activity and engagement outcomes


Candidate Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in event planning, stakeholder relationship management, public affairs, advocacy campaigns, political campaigns, or related activities, 

  • Strong understanding of the federal policy and political landscape

  • Excellent project management and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced client-service environment
