Michele Wymer is a nationally recognized leader in U.S. foreign assistance policy and international engagement, bringing more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of Congress, the Executive Branch, and the nonprofit sector. As a Partner at Kyle House Group, she advises international NGOs, faith-based organizations, foundations, universities, and global coalitions on strategies to strengthen U.S. leadership abroad and protect the foreign assistance and international exchange programs that advance American interests around the world.
Since leaving the U.S. Senate, Michele has built a distinguished practice helping organizations navigate complex policy and funding environments while elevating their visibility with Congress and the Administration. She works closely with clients to develop advocacy strategies, shape legislative proposals, build bipartisan coalitions, and forge high-level relationships across government and the international community. Her work has helped preserve and strengthen U.S. investments in international education, global health, humanitarian assistance, food security, water and sanitation, democracy promotion, and faith-based partnerships. Michele is particularly recognized for translating field-based expertise into practical policy solutions that advance both development outcomes and U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives.
Before joining Kyle House Group, Michele spent a decade serving in the U.S. Senate, including as Professional Staff on the Senate Appropriations Committee's Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs, where she advised Senators Lindsey Graham and Judd Gregg on U.S. foreign policy and international assistance. She helped develop annual appropriations legislation governing the Department of State, USAID, and numerous independent foreign affairs agencies while conducting congressional oversight of U.S. assistance programs in more than 60 countries. Earlier in her Senate career, Michele served as a policy advisor to Senator Thad Cochran, covering homeland security, judiciary, veterans' affairs, and foreign policy issues.
Throughout her career, Michele has cultivated trusted relationships with senior Congressional leaders on both sides of the Capitol and both sides of the aisle, Executive Branch officials, foreign governments, multilateral institutions, and civil society organizations. Her unique combination of legislative expertise, policy knowledge, and coalition-building experience has made her a sought-after advisor for organizations seeking to navigate Washington and maximize their impact globally.
Michele holds a master’s degree in international policy from Georgetown University and a bachelor's degree in Spanish and Public Relations from Mississippi State University. She serves on the Boards of Directors of Special Olympics Northern California and Venture Christian Academy. She and her husband reside in San Jose, CA, with their four children.
