Betsy Wright DeLaney has more than a decade of senior fundraising experience in Washington, DC. She has worked with Members of Congress, political action committees, corporations, associations and non-profit organizations to develop and execute fundraising strategies.
Betsy also has substantial experience planning and executing client events in and outside of Washington, DC, including conferences, board meetings, retreats, DC fly-ins, and other activities. Betsy helped manage events for several organizations at the National Republican Conventions in 2004 and 2008. Before starting her own fundraising consulting business, Betsy worked with Congressman Jim McCrery as Executive Director of the Committee for the Preservation of Capitalism.
Prior to that, she worked on the development and fundraising team at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, raising funds for both the Chamber and the U.S. Chamber Foundation. Betsy also has professional experience as a Capitol Hill staffer, having formerly worked in the personal office of Congressman Jim McCrery.
Betsy has a master’s degree in public communication from American University and a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Louisiana State University.
