Ben Hubbard is a Senior Advisor to the Kyle House Group, and he also serves as the Managing Partner and Founder of Movement Partners, LLC, an investment management company providing growth capital to middle market supply chain businesses in sub Saharan Africa.

Prior to co-founding Movement, Ben was a presidential appointee in the Obama Administration where he served as Chief of Staff at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and later as the Director of USAID’s $3 billion development credit division, the Development Credit Authority (DCA).

During his tenure at USAID, Ben led widely recognized efforts to transform USAID’s approach to private capital facilitation by leveraging the market power of investors and multinational companies for sustainable development.Under Ben’s leadership, DCA increased its annual credit volume by a record 160%, expanded its presence to seven regional platforms, and created a new division dedicated to financial innovation. Ben was a key architect of many of the Obama Administration’s signature development initiatives, including the G8’s New Alliance for Food Security and President Obama’s Power Africa energy initiative.

As Chief of Staff to Administrator Rajiv Shah, Ben facilitated and coordinated overall Agency operations and played a key role in developing and advancing USAID’s historic transformation effort.Before joining USAID, Ben worked in a range of leadership roles at the global policy and advocacy organization ONE, including serving as a policy and strategy advisor to its cofounder, Bono and later managing its rapid growth and global expansion to Europe and Africa. Before joining ONE, Ben worked for the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative, helping to launch the Foundation’s pediatric work in Kenya by introducing low-cost generic treatment to the market.

Ben earned a BA in Economics from Cornell University.
