Location: This position requires residence in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The Project Associate will be fully remote on a daily basis. Candidates must be local and available for in-person meetings and events.

Position Overview

The Project Associate will work primarily with our portfolio of clients on international affairs issues, including global health, foreign assistance, international trade, and commercial policy. The Project Associate will provide support in client services, planning and execution of meetings and events, outreach tracking, research and analysis, and other duties. Position Responsibilities
Tracking relevant legislation and amendments in foreign affairs, global health, and international development
Providing research support and drafting policy summaries, memoranda, and legislative proposals
Monitoring and summarizing Congressional hearings and markups, association events, and think tank programs regarding areas of interest to client matters
Tracking statements related to foreign affairs and global health from lawmakers, administration officials, and other policymakers
Assisting in the preparation of meetings with clients and relevant policymakers and staff
Helping to manage day-to-day operations, note-taking, and following up on client action items
Working with the KHG team to develop event plans and manage logistics of off-site events
Candidate Requirements
Based in the Washington, D.C. metro area
1-2 years of work experience in global health or international development issues (excluding internships)
Capitol Hill experience highly preferred
Responsive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Concise writer with the ability to identify and summarize complex information
Able to handle multiple workstreams, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines with minimal supervision
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Exhibits leadership, good judgment, and trustworthiness
